Full Moon Party

This past weekend the girls and I headed over to Thailand for the famous full moon party. I can honestly say it was the most fun I have had since being in Asia. The weekend started early on Wednesday night when we all went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the night. My friend Riley's friend lives there so Sarah and I also got lucky enough to be able to stay at his very nice condo with her. We got to see the KL nightlife and I think we may have enjoyed ourselves a little too much. It was an early morning to get to the airport and a stressful one with that. With fears of missing our plane we finally made it to the airport and got on our flight to meet the rest of our fellow NTU'ers.

9 of us from NTU flew into Krabi, Thailand and then took both a van and a ferry over to Koh Phangan, Thailand. It took about 6 hours to finally get to Koh Phangan island but the journey was well worth it. Shelby, Michelle, Tanya, and I ended up splitting one bed for the entire weekend which worked out perfectly. There was a mandatory four night stay for the weekend (since all the hotels are so popular for the event) so we each ended up paying about 35 dollars. The bed was a queen and by the end of our nights we didn't mind squishing and cuddling.

Both Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night involved partying on the Haad Rin Beach. There was loud music, fire limbo and dancers, stands selling buckets, loud music, and people in neon paint everywhere. At times the weekend got a little wild but we managed to make it out alive!

I can't wait to get back to Thailand, but for right now I'm headed off to the Philippines in the morning! I'll be back in Singapore in five days just in time to write my first exam.
